Summer Learning Journey ( ART )

 

Task description

Today, I did another Art recreation , of one of the most well-known artist named Vincent Van Gogh. However, it was kind of hard to capture and know which part of the plants was the roses, but it turned out pretty good!

How to draw the main base of a character on paper.

First you start by sketching a circle, along with a simple vertical line in the center of the circle. When your done doing the circle and the line, sketch two other lines on where you want the eyes to be. 

Secondly you put another mini circle on where you want the neck to be. Put two other mini circles for the shoulders. Then connect three of the circles together with a curved line. 

After that you add eyes, and the mouth and nose inside those two lines. You then choose the style and your preference to what you want your character to look like. 

Finally draw the face and the clothes. If you run out of ideas on the clothes, just browse a new tap in a device or mobile. Then search up clothes, and turn it into a realistic drawing for your character. 

I hope you learned how to simply sketch the base of a character on paper.

Hunger games book Part 1 !

Toda, I read a book with the title : Hunger games part 1. The book was really interesting to read. Katniss was the main character in the book. There were two other boy's that was also included in the book, who was secretly in love with Katniss. It also included a lot of District's ( different types of areas ) in the book, that had different types of numbers on there names. 

Gale & Peeta was the two boy's who were secretly in love with Katniss. Primrose as in for her little sister, was nominated for the Hunger games, where people would try to eliminate each other by murdering each other. It entertained a lot of people, since it was on-camera for all the citizens to watch. 

Instead of Primrose, Katniss stood up and nominated herself to join the Hunger games. Her Mother, and sister was shocked on how she stood up for her little sister. It's been awhile since someone has elected there-selves for the Hunger games. 

Up till then she slowly started falling in love with Peeta a bakery teenager, even though it was just all fake and was all for entertainment ... They were both selected for the Hunger games. Gale the other person was one of Katniss closest child-hood friends. One of the most important rules in Hunger games was that only a single person should claim the winning object. But Gale & Katniss ended up claiming it together.

I thought I got up early, but it seems like I woke up firmly with no timing.

Types of lines

 

Task description

We learnt about how to style lines in different types of ways. Lines can also be styled in different unique ways. It can be wide, long and more. Connecting lines can create a simple shape. ( yes i made a little mistake )

Immersion Assembly.

On Monday, all the Teams combined together in the hall. Each Team had to at least present a video or movie about being creative in Art. Mrs. Tele'a was getting ready, while the other Teams were presenting there video or acting. 

Each video also included creativeness in to it, related to Art... Team 1's funny video was about recreating all the well-known Arts that was in the past.

Then it was Team 2's turn. They're video was about showing Arts, that was related to different types of Nationality and Cultures. One of them was similar to Diwali, which is a festive festival where people celebrate with candles & lights.

Team 3 presented a video, where they combine all the colourful colours together. The after result was amazing! It was a rainbow, with a little bridge at the back of the rainbow. A lot of glitters was also included on the rainbow.

Now it was Team 4's turn.! One of the teachers from that Team stood up, and spoke up that they forgot to do they're Art video. But.. thankfully they communicated in a google meet. They all made up a pattern, about there own culture.

Finally it was Team 5's turn. Each Teacher's had there own script, and costume. It was really funny at the same time. It was about a person who attended for a tour in a imaginary museum. Each Art had there own meaning.

My poster for Climate change.

 

Task description

Today in Literacy ( again ) I simply made a poster, along with sentences that can help people think on how they've ruined the ocean and the different types of animals out there. Throwing one plastic bag can cause a huge difference in the ocean.

Venn diagram

 

Task description 

In Literacy we had to make a simple Venn diagram related to the text, and Video we watched and learned from. As you can see the middle of the Venn diagram, those are the main similarities to each subject. The text and the video had a little difference between them, that's why I separated each fact about them into a simple sentence.

The best way to cure boredom

You can either play card games with your relatives, or watch the sunset go down. If you don't wanna do any of these activities, maybe try to improve on your learning and also on your spelling. Learning can also help you graduate.

If your really bored right now, I suggest you to try something that can also include your talents. There are tons of fun activities to do in life.  Reading books is also very interesting! It can also help you learn tons of new words.

Swimming is another suggestion, that can help cleanse and wash all away your stress. Trying out new hairstyles on your hair is also another fun activity, in case you have to go somewhere important!

Outside the window. ( Weather )

                      Weather / Outside the window.

The main weather right now, is quite normal. The trees are not waving with their branches ( Like they commonly do sometimes. ) I couldn't spot any stars, but the Moon was bright and spectacular! 

My favorite weather..? My main favorite weather is when it's raining, and when it's night time. I find it very peaceful, when your also about to study. When it's about to rain, birds fly's truncated. The clouds gather all together, and the colors of the clouds slowly blends into gray.

Alrida Myths and Legends

Task description

Today, I made a presentation similar to Myths and Legends. There was also a lot of myths and legends all around each slides. Every single slide in this presentation.. I had to write about it in sentences, by also explaining it.

Every child has hopes & dreams (- Games master )

Today we learned a new interesting game, which included actions & characters. The characters were also fulled with frustration, along with T (Main character). T had a lot of people that he got along with, but it ended up in a disaster. T's mother is Marae, and she was also involved with his life and situations. The matter of his life, has included violence too. 

The main dad was Dave, he was very lazy and had no jobs. Dave was too entertained by playing games, and also not helping his wife with her situations. Marae was also in love with another person named Brian, who was very romantic and helpful when Marae was in a very stressful scene of hers. 

T had a friend called Jack he was trustful sometimes, but T did not attend school that much. He always tried to not attend school, together with his friend Jack. They talked about what there life situations are about..

Becca was another character that T always used to finish his homework.. His Mom didn't really paid attention to him, and when he needed help with something. Marae the Mom was treating T unfairly, compared to Becca. 

While on the other hand, Brian was the main person who was always caring about Marae the mother. Brian tried his best to get along with T, by not giving him space which made T more frustrated with life situations.. Dave was kicked out of Marae's apartment also not being helpful to the family..

5 Family connections to Valerie Adams

Last week, I was currently focused on a poster on Five family connections (relatives) to Valerie Adams. She was also known for breaking a record, which included Shot put in it. She also won one of the rarest awards in 2006, which was at the Commonwealth Games.

Today, Tahliyah and I came up with another poster. Te Horeta is also still famous until now, and also well-known.! He was also a person who was included in Waitangi day in the olden days, along with a famous well-known name called Captain cook, he also met him.

2020 Maori Lingo Week

Task description

In literacy, we had to pick one partner for a very important task related to Maori Language week. Since we had to pick a partner. I obviously choose Tahliyah to be my partner. We came up with another presentation about Kia Kaha Te Reo Maori. We first watched the main videos on the presentation, in order to understand the meaning of each video.

Task description 

Taha Tinana is about physical well-being, along with looking after our body. Keeping our body active and healthy is really important to us. While on the other hand there can be sometimes tons of exercise poses to choose from.

Task description

This slideshow is about Taha Tinana. I choosed Christmas, since it's a festive time to celebrate, and feel brand new. Christmas is also a very rare time, where some people can also reunite with their family once again. Some people around the world, also can vividly remember some of their memorable Christmas times from their pasts. 

Captain Cook / Literacy

Task description

Today in Literacy, Tahliyah and I partnered up, and came up with the main task that were supposed to be made. There was three options to be choose from. The first was a diary explanation of experiencing, what basically being a member on Captain Cooks boat is like. Second was mainly discussing Captain Cook's journey. Third one was another explanation of the Transit of Venus. We chose the first one, and came up with this.!

24 Hour clock ( Maths )

Today we learned about the time, and the importance of it, along with learning the 24 hour clock. It was typically two difference types of time present. 

The Sunboy ( Legend / learning )

 

Task description - 

Today we learnt about a original legend, that was basically made from Tonga. This legend is about a boy , who mainly always shouted out to his mother where his dad is, since his mother was always busy. 

Movie night - Anastasia

In the past few days, my family and I had a movie night together, combined with delicious, full-flavored snacks! We focus straight away when the introduction of the movie plays, so we can't miss out in the end on what really happened related to the beginning as if it's one or two character that's leading the main story of the movie.

As the movie continues, we went all silent. We picked a interesting movie from one of the categories, which was based on a true story, since it was from Russia the disappearing of the royal family.  The movie was not entirely based on the real story behind it. Anastasia the main character, she also had a horrifying story behind her character name.

When Anastasia tried to reunite with her mother. Her mother refused. Tons of people tried to look and act like her, but farther wise the mother already knew that none of them cared about how she loved and took care of Anastasia, but only cared about money.

Finally when the ending came she fell in love in with a mysterious kitchen boy, the boy who looked after them from when she was young, when the mysterious, horrifying scene happened. We were all exhausted after getting entertained by the movie, but nevertheless it was really a interesting movie.!

Ojibway ( Myth learning )

Yr 7 Step up Leadership highlight

 Last week, we went into rotations and my favourite highlight was mainly when we had shared lunch for the whole entire team. Each of us had to go into a group, and choose a leader for each one of the groups including choosing a title name for the group that we were in. The pizza there was full-flavoured and was amazing.

Measuring Up

Task description
Today we got to measure two lines to find out which one is longer. We found out that both lines are the same length. They are both 27.5 cm since we got the answer from the rulers we had.!

Taha Tinana

Task description
Learning how to be more healthy, and active. But there's also another way of doing it by also putting it into a Paragraph poster full with facts on how to stay healthy! :)

Task description
Today we made a world map on where all the places that the myths were based on, also similar to putting the red location icon to the places where it was. I had also had a partner that was really helpful, she did some research on where the red icon should be.

Task description
Today, we had to make a drawing similar to the tasks we have came pass in rotations! We had to spit up, since our teacher had practise each one of us went into one classes. We were lucky because we were in Mrs.Tele'a class for the rest of the afternoon. Then she gave us a task, and she explained on how and why we are doing it.!

Happy late birthday!

Last Sunday, Jacinda Adern birthday came up and was suprised along with a birthday cake. Jacinda Adern was born on July 26, 1980 she has currently just turned forty. She was also very young when she signed up for president in New Zealand. Happy late birthday!

Weekends recount

One Friday afternoon, my siblings and I played some games combined with luscious snacks, while we also waited for our big sister to arrive back from shopping to put on the movie. 

We got really irritated waiting for our big sister, but we decided to play a movie, since she took forever infinity.! The movie was mainly based on a true story, which also included some horrifying scenes along with. I still vividly remember my little sister's reaction. It was really amusing to watch her while the movie still continued through.

Immediately after, my big sister finally arrived home. She then sat down on the couch, and focused on the movie. Everyone was watching her which also felt really awkward to be honest. She mainly had the attention of all my siblings considering on how she came late. 

Everyone was complaining about how the movie ended. It was really whimsical to watch. I held my laugh, so I could not end the most hysterical moment where they complained about the most amusing scene.

Yesterday, we all went into rotations again but this time it was Mrs.Moala, and she also explained on how the myth has became very popular, together with what it was based on!

~Therapy dog Poster~

Task description: Today, I made a Poster on four reason's why you should get a therapy dog, they're really helpful in my opinion, even when your really lazy. Humans are also more active with dogs, so I suggest to anyone who's out there, that's always on idle should probably get it, because they expand your mood and also helps you through durable times.

Task Description: Last week, I had to finish my inquiry task, which was a poster similar to Matariki day!

In the weekend ~

On the weekend, my friends and I played different types of games, also similar to Obbys that can make you range easily. We instantly played a lot of other games after, we also had a lot of choices in the game to choose from. My friend Toshy wanted to play another game, which includes Drawing in it. The game had layers that you can draw on, and also you can Rub it out since they also have an eraser. 

Next I had to go eat dinner because my Mum was done cooking food for us. The food was superb!. We usually eat soup when it’s a rainy day or even when it’s cold, but my Mum decided to try out another food, which was Chicken curry. We haven’t eaten chicken curry since last month, but we finally got to eat it! 

After eating, I thanked Mum for the food that she had provided for us, and continued  talking to my friends, I also had another friend called Angel. She could speak a lot of languages. Angel was talented and kind, she was full of talent. She could even cook, and bake she was full of gifts! 

Finally it was sleeping time, and furthermore I had to give the laptop back to my Mum so she can make sure to herself that I’ll be asleep, when it comes to ten o'clock. Before going to sleep my family called me to come out of the room so we can pray. I finally got to sleep and rest after!

Writing

Sky tower lights (word groups)

Today we got to put the writing into word groups in another version of the other one. It was a bit hard, but it was really fun to put each paragraphs into word groups. I got a little stuck on the first one, because of the dates, but then I figured out how to do it probably, and also how to put it into word groups. It was really hard at first, but I got used to it, and then I also got to finish it by focusing on it..!

Decimal numbers learning`

Today, I was included in a group where there was 2 people, we had to roll the dice, and when we were already done we past it to the next person. The total of the numbers that were on the dice was five, which we had to take only one turn each. There was two dices, which had numbers on it.. 

After having our turn we had to write the numbers down on the sheet that our teacher gave us, that we got from the dice. We were also practising how to add decimals, and there was only four columns that we had write on with the numbers. 

The three main values that we were interested in was Ones,tenths, hundredths and lastly thousandths.!

Sky Tower Lights For Matariki - SKYCITY (22 June 2020)

Today Room 2, and I read about one of the main locations in New Zealand (Auckland) in the city, which is is about the sky tower celebrating matariki with a wholesome colour on it, that has a meaning behind it. Skycity does alot of colours on the sky tower, because it can be sometime used as in for celebrations, birthdays of someone special that's known, and far more..
